DESCRIPTION & DETAILS
A most natural fibre; only obtained from Camelus bactrianus better known to us as the Bactrian 2 humped camel. This magnificent creauture may be found roaming expanses of rocky mountain massifs to the Gobi desert. Conditions are extremely variable from as low as −40 °C to 40 °C. The Bactrian continues always looking the part whatever the weather. We have taken this exotic material and applied the Berk Cashmere formula to ensure that you can do exactly the same.
Our Camelhair is 100% natural, undyed and breathable. It is masterfully spun into a 2 ply yarn to make a surprisingly light garment given its thermal properties. Exceedingly warm in winter months like the 4 ply counterpart yet more easily worn underneath a suit or other articles of clothing.
Almost twice as insulating and much more flexible than wool of the same weight, this marvellous camel hair piece is resistant to crushing will keep you looking crisp and wrinkle free on your travels. Yet another piece to transcends seasons and embody simple, timeless luxury.
The touch and feel maintains the hallmarks of Berk cashmere following a thorough and scrupulous process of washing and steaming in the soft, perfectly pH balanced waters of the Scottish border countries.
Cosy and exceptionally hard wearing, this chunky cardigan is perfect for the colder winter months. Wear either underneath a casual coat or on its own as an outer layer to suit your style whatever the weather holds.
